Dental school doesn't prepare you for the wild roller coaster ride that opening a new practice takes you on. I first met Dr. Elliott in a clinical rotation while in dental school. It was during some downtime in the clinic Dr. Elliott lead a round table discussion with my classmates and myself about life beyond dental school. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to hear Dr. Robert Elliott speak twice in the last four months, in two different settings.
The first was a large venue at the 2016 AAPD conference that allowed Dr. Elliott to provide an engaging overview of best practices for pediatric dental offices.
The second was a smaller, more brand specific setting that lent itself to customized feedback as well as specific action points for immediate implementation into individual offices.
Dr. Elliott is an engaging speaker with a knack for making each team member feel as though he has been in their shoes and that he understands the challenges that they face on a daily basis.

Let me start by saying that I never could have imagined all that goes into starting a pediatric dental practice! Opening your own practice starts as a simple, adventurous, and exciting idea. However, once I was invested the realization quickly hit that it was time to either sink or swim. As someone going into this for the first time, I really didn't know where to begin. I had doubts about if I was doing things correctly. Dealing with so many people, how could I know who to trust? Was I missing some major step in the start-up process that would later come back to bite me financially or add time to the project? And on top of all that, how was I supposed to find time for my family, finish my last 6 months of residency, and successfully complete ABPD written boards? The best decision I made was to work with a consultant to help me with these concerns... someone who had been in my shoes!
I researched a few different consulting companies, and came across Dr. Elliott's Pedo Springboard. I was especially drawn to Pedo Springboard because Dr. Elliott specializes in helping pediatric dental practitioners start and successfully grow their practice. He also started and maintains a highly successful pediatric dental practice, which he began after his residency also. It was obvious that he knew what he was talking about, and that he had helped many others through the exact same scenarios. He provided many other valuable office resources too, which we use now that we are open and seeing patients.
